Kotzebue

Pastor Bill and Dori had a great time in Kotzebue this weekend with Missionary Pastors Randy and Sandy Wren.  They are pictured below, along with Matt.  Matt is from Emmonak and assists the church in many aspects.  They had great services, and we appreciate the call and dedication of the Wrens to be in Kotzebue.  We are believing and trusting God for great things there.

Pastor Gary's new Appointment with CUFI

Gary Morton was recently named Christians United For Israel Region One Director.  Region One includes Alaska, Idaho, Oregon and Washington.  Morton has served as the Anchorage City Director for CUFI since 2007.  He has directed Anchorage Nights to Honor Israel and a number of informational events.
"Part of my immediate responsibility will be to mobilize men and women from Region One to attend the upcoming CUFI Washington D. C. Summit - July 16-18, 2012." Gary reported.
Christians United for Israel's Washington Summit is the premier pro-Israel event of the year. They bring together some of the most influential leaders and thinkers to update attendees on recent developments in Israel, the Middle East and Washington, D.C.
Gary said, "The highlight for me is when we go to "the Hill", and meet with Congress and personally share our support for Israel directly with our elected officials and help change the way Washington views Israel and issues directly related to the Jewish State. I personally believe that CUFI was created for "such a time as this".  Together we can take a stand for Israel that will make a great difference."
Christians United for Israel (CUFI) is the largest pro-Israel organization in the United States with over 915,000 members and one of the leading Christian grassroots movements in the world. Every month CUFI holds more than 40 pro-Israel events across the country.
 The CUFI Israel Pledge:
CUFI believes that the Jewish people have a right to live in their ancient land of Israel, and that the modern State of Israel is the fulfillment of this historic right.
CUFI maintains that there is no excuse for acts of terrorism against Israel and that Israel has the same right as every other nation to defend her citizens from such violent attacks.
CUFI pledges to stand with our brothers and sisters in Israel and to speak out on their behalf whenever and wherever necessary until the attacks stop and they are finally living in peace and security with their neighbors.
Gary says, "I hope to encourage many of my friends to join me in signing CUFI's Israel Pledge and show our support for the "apple of our Lord's eye".  You can find the link and further information at www.cufi.org ."

New Pastors in Sitka!

Congratulations to Pastor Ryan and Heather Gluth!  Pastor Ryan and Heather were elected by the congregation in Sitka yesterday to be their Pastors.  Pastor Ryan and Heather ministered  previously in Sitka as youth workers and have since then been Youth Pastors in Juneau and Kenai.  They are currently assisting at Wasilla Assembly of God and Ryan recently earned a Master of Business Administration.  We are excited for them as they follow the call of God and lead this congregation.

Network Conference Planning

We had a great Network Conference planning meeting with Pastor Kent and the staff of Muldoon Community Assembly this afternoon.  MCA is hosting Network Conference this year, which is April 23-26.  MCA hosted two years ago and did it with excellence.   Thanks to Pastor Kent and staff of MCA for your heart to serve and for your desire to make this event as excellent as possible for everyone.  You will be hearing more information about Network Conference in the coming weeks.

New Pastors at Jubilee Worship Center!

We are very excited that Pastor Jeremy and Charee Davis are the new Pastors at Jubilee Worship Center in Fairbanks.  They were elected this past Sunday.  We are excited for both the Davis' and the church, as they follow after God's plan.  We are looking forward to hearing good reports.

Register now for the Men's Retreat!

This was an excellent event last year, and we would encourage all men to attend.  Pastor Jim Duncan does a great job planning this retreat.  Note that the early preregistration price ends on February 15th.
