Pastors -- Pastor Jim Duncan and the Alaska Ministry Network Men's Ministry are putting on another excellent Pastor's Intensive, featuring Neil Kennedy and Randy McPherson.  Information is below.  This is a free event, and we encourage you to attend.  Don't miss out!

Alaska Men’s Network is sponsoring this free Pastor’s Intensive in conjunction with the Men’s Conference. The theme of this year’s intensive is "Positioning Your Church For Growth." The Conference speakers will be addressing the following topics:

11:05-11:45 AM "The Five Passions of Authentic Manhood" Neil Kennedy

Soldotna Pastoral Installation

Superintendent Bill and Dori Welch, along with Peninsula Region Presbyter Stephen and JoLynn Brown, were in Soldotna this past Sunday to install Pastor Jon and Teri Watson as Pastors at Peninsula Christian Center.  We welcome the Watsons to Alaska from Texas!  It was a great service, with a potluck to follow.  We look forward to hearing about the blessings of the Lord upon this congregation.

Gustavus Pastoral Installation

Superintendent Bill Welch was recently in Gustavus to install Pastor Dale and Beth Parker as Pastors at Gustavus Chapel. The Parkers had previously been interim Pastors in Sitka and also filled in at Anchorage Native AG. Gustavus Chapel is doing very well, and they love the Parkers. We are looking forward to hearing what God will do in Gustavus.

Gateway 5 Year Celebration

On January 20, Gateway Fellowship in Chugiak/Peter's Creek, celebrated their 5 year anniversary.  Congratulations to Pastor Randy and Gina Jones, along with the church board and congregation.  It was very exciting to celebrate the birth of a church that is still doing very well and reaching their community.

Holy Spirit Conference

The theme of the 2013 Holy Spirit was "Speak to the people all the words of this life."  It was hosted by MCA in partnership with the Alaska Ministry Network and Central Region.  We enjoyed the rich teaching from Dr. Joseph Castleberry, Dr. Byron Klaus, and Pastor John Bueno.

 

We are trusting God for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit over Alaska in 2013.

 

 

Holy Spirit Conference

The promo material for the upcoming Holy Spirit Conference, including schedule information, is in the picture above.  If you click the picture, you can view it more easily.  The speaker lineup is very exciting this year, as we have Dr. Joseph Castleberry, President of Northwest University; Dr. Byron Klaus, President of the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary; and Pastor John Bueno, longtime Director of Assemblies of God World Missions.

The theme this year is  taken from Acts 5:20:  “Speak to the people all the words of this life.”  The Greek word for “speak” is “laleo,” which implies a conversational, informal way of speaking.  We will be looking at how the Holy Spirit speaks to us the words of life as it relates to world evangelization, daily conversations, and the Church. 

 The meetings will all be held at Muldoon Community Assembly.  The Holy Spirit Conference is a partnership between the Central Region, MCA, and the Alaska Ministry Network.  We hope you will join us on Sunday evening, Jan. 13, at 6:00pm.  Meetings on Monday through Wednesday will be at 9:30am, 10:45am, 6:00pm, and 7:00pm.  Children’s and Youth Services will be held in conjunction with the Holy Spirit Conference during the evening services.
