Credentialing Information from Melanya

Summer has finally reached Alaska! For this I am thankful. June reminds me of summer afternoons lying under shade trees and ice cold lemonade. Of course these days I don’t spend much time lying under shade trees due to a busy schedule. I am taking it for granted that your schedule is busy also, therefore I am sending this reminder regarding Minister’s Tithes and Credential Applications.

As an Ordained, Licensed minister or Certified Minister Senior Pastor, your District tithe is $50.00 per month or seventy-five percent (75%) of your ministerial tithe, whichever is the greater. That means by the end of June, you should have contributed at least $300.00. As a Certified Minister, your District tithe is $5.00 per month. That means by the end of June, you should have contributed at least $30.00. If you would like to know how much you have given for 2010, please feel free to contact me and I will relate that information to you.

Preliminary applications and General Council Disclosure Forms are now available on the Alaska Ministry Network website. To find these forms click on the Resource tab and then Credentialing Information directly below the tab. This form may be filled out on line but must be printed, signed by the applicant. Those applying for the first time must have their pastor sign their Preliminary Application. Both new and upgrading applicants must print a screening form and return the completed form to Network Office.

Please be aware of the NEW deadline dates:
New Applicants (Certified Minister/Licensed Minister) -- December 1, 2010
Upgrading Applicants (Certified to Licensed/Licensed to Ordained) -- September 1, 2010
If you have already submitted your Preliminary Application and have not received your General Council Application Packet, please contact me at the AMN office. If you have an Application packet and have not completed the forms, please do so as soon as possible to avoid last minute panic.

Have a blessed summer!

Anchorage Samoan Land Blessing

This past Saturday, we joined in celebrating a ground breaking and blessing of the land with Pastor Vanilau and Anchorage Samoan AG. They recently were approved for a loan with CEP to build an addition to their building to be used primarily for classrooms and fellowship. Pastor Vanilau and Anchorage Samoan are doing a great job and are seeing attendance numbers grow as they minister to the community.

Ordination Night

The Credentialing Service is always a powerful time, as we recognize the calling and gifting that God has placed on people's lives. Paul Wainamo and King's Way Ministry Center led us into worship of the King.
Another Fine Arts Performance was recognized tonight. Delana Duncan preached an amazing short sermon. Secretary JD Duncan led the credentialing portion of the service.
