Our camps this year were near record attendance for which we give God the glory. If you have never participated in a camp ministry, you are missing a great opportunity for God to use you to touch a life. If you have never participated in a “cross-cultural” camp ministry and would like to, please contact me and let’s see if Camp AN is where God may want to use you.
Camp evangelism and discipleship is exciting. I don’t know when the first camps were ever held or just where in the world that would have been, but they are a powerful tool! Camp Agaiutim Nune (Camp AN) is no exception. This year, between Kid’s and Teen Camps, God allowed us to see 39 come to know Christ as their Savior, 6 receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit, 29 receive some type of healing, and four responded to God’s calling for ministry. Tremendous workers came from churches, Bible Colleges, Chi Alpha, Royal Rangers, and the Alaska DYD team. Every year, an outstanding cohesiveness between the various teams develops, all working together as one. Each ministry team was “right on” as they touched lives. God was faithful to grace us with His presence throughout the camps. This year, it was a great privilege to have our District Superintendent, Bill Welch, as Family Camp speaker—lives were blessed and challenged. Also, Camp AN was privileged to have as guest to our camp, US Missions Executive Director, Zollie Smith. Cissy Padgett, as well as many local individuals and church groups ministered preciously in music during Family camp. Family camp concluded on Sunday with two great Sunday services when area churches joined together. Sunday also included a delicious dinner and fellowship shared by all.
