District Office Christmas Party!
We had lots of fun at the District Office Christmas party on Tuesday night. Mark cooked prime rib that was the talk of the evening. Other incredible dishes were brought and Heidi led some games that were hilarious. It is a privilege and joy to work with the team that God has assembled in the District Office. Here are a few pictures.

Singing Christmas Tree at Anchorage 1st AG
Dori and I attended the Singing Christmas Tree at Anchorage 1st AG tonight. Three churches and Pastors participated -- Pastor Gary, Pastor Sergie, and Pastor Tusa. Pastor Gary was the Director, and there were 57 vocals on the tree. It was an amazing display of Christmas lights and the production was enhanced with video support. The production was amazing and several accepted Christ. There will be another performance on Saturday at 7PM and twice on Sunday, 4:30 and 7:00pm.

LEADERSHIP TRAINING WAS NOT A BLAST...THANK GOD!
Forty five youth leaders gathered for three days of youth training in the war torn area of our nation. In spite of the warnings of the government not to return to the villages because of unexploded ordinance, they insisted that now was the right time to touch the youth and get ready for their return. One youth leader said, "When they come home, they will see everything destroyed, except the church and its outreach to the youth."
We appreciate so much your generosity that enables us to cut the ministry frontier and pour into these fearless future leaders. Happy Holidays. Mark & Shelley Hollis

Jeff Nelson, EAST students, and AK and ND team build church
In October Alaska Missionary Jeff Nelson, and a team from East Africa School of Theology (EAST), First Assembly of God, Anchorage, AK and Watford City (ND) Assembly of God and New Beginnings (Fargo, ND) launched a church in Oyugis, Kenya. The team saw 221 people come to the Lord through door-to-door evangelism, crusade, and revival services. A tabernacle was constructed. The first Sunday in the new tabernacle more than 100 people attended the service. Another building is planned with funds given by Anchorage First for a tabernacle among the least reach people group, Rendille, in 2010. Thank you to all who have prayed and given to allow us to minister here in Kenya.
While I (Jeff) was studying for my PhD in Togo (West Africa) in November, our Speed the Light (STL) vehicle was stolen in Nairobi, Kenya (East Africa). We praise God no one was hurt. God has helped us to be able to replace it. God has given us a very useable used vehicle that we count as a real miracle. The owner said he had another buyer coming by Monday. If we came with the money before the other did, he would sell it to us because we were missionaries. We were able to get the money from AGWM on Monday evening at 5 PM Kenya time. Janelle called the owner and it was still available. If you know Janelle, she has a gift for saving God's money. She bargained for this vehicle even though another had made an offer and she got about $3000 off.
