Anchorage Samoan Land Blessing

This past Saturday, we joined in celebrating a ground breaking and blessing of the land with Pastor Vanilau and Anchorage Samoan AG. They recently were approved for a loan with CEP to build an addition to their building to be used primarily for classrooms and fellowship. Pastor Vanilau and Anchorage Samoan are doing a great job and are seeing attendance numbers grow as they minister to the community.

Ordination Night

The Credentialing Service is always a powerful time, as we recognize the calling and gifting that God has placed on people's lives. Paul Wainamo and King's Way Ministry Center led us into worship of the King.
Another Fine Arts Performance was recognized tonight. Delana Duncan preached an amazing short sermon. Secretary JD Duncan led the credentialing portion of the service.

Wednesday Evening Missions Service

Wednesday night had a World Missions emphasis, and Pastor Gary Morton led the service.

Rob Rucci, Worship and Fine Arts Pastor of Fairbanks First AG led us superbly in worship.

Pastor Sergey and the choir of New Chance in Christ AG did a special song. We appreciate Pastor Sergey's heart for prayer and his hunger for the Lord. The choir did an excellent job. This year's emphasis for World Missions was in Slavic Ministries. Dr. Slavic Radchuk was the speaker, and he taught us the importance of wrestling with God. The Holy Spirit orchestrated the speaking events, as the speakers all preached from Jacob, and a common theme emerged.

Network Conference Celebration Service

Ben and Heather Rose, Youth Pastors at Juneau Christian Center, did a great job of leading us in worship.

We made an addition to Network Conference this year that seemed to be a big hit: Fine Arts Performances. The Fine Arts students did such an incredible job this year, we decided to highlight some of these performances at Network Conference.

Sammy Rodriguez preached on Jacob and the ladder. We will never forget that for every rock, there is a ladder.

There was a huge altar response, and the Lord touched many people.

Alaska Missions Banquet

The Alaska Ministry Network gathered at the Sheraton on Monday Night to bring an emphasis on Alaska Missions and Hispanic Ministries. The fellowship was rich.

Sister Phyllis Fenstermaker served in St. Michael for 35 years. She served faithfully and with great fruit in her ministry. She was honored tonight for her service, and she spoke, exhorting us that ministry to the villages must continue to burn brightly.

Sister Fenstermaker passed the baton of ministry in St. Michael to Brian and Linda Staub. The Staubs are US Missionaries who have been assigned to St. Michael. It was a powerful moment to have Sister Fenstermaker, who has given so many years of faithful service to St. Michael, on the same platform as the Staubs, as she blessed their ministry. Brian and Linda will be able to build upon the solid foundation of the past. They have been serving at Native Assembly and have made several trips out to St. Michael for ministry already. The people of St. Michael are very excited to receive them, and we are excited to see what God will do through them. They begin in July.
Hispanic Ministries is the primary focus of this year's Alaska Missions Banquet. There are an estimated 38,000 Hispanics living in the Anchorage area. We are looking at several different avenues in which we can partner to bring the Gospel to Hispanics in Alaska.
Dr. Roger Ovalle, the Assistant Superintendent of the Northern Pacific Latin American District, addressed the Network. NPLAD is very interested in planting Hispanic churches in Anchorage, and we are excited to network with them.
Anchorage First AG is going to plant a Hispanic Church, and will be utilizing Gil and Rosi Nantes, who are a part of Anchorage First Assembly. Gil is from Brazil and speaks four languages.
Sammy Rodriguez was the keynote speaker at the banquet. He did an excellent job at highlighting the need for ministry to Hispanics.

Alaska Ministry Network Business Sessions

The business sessions went well. Business was mainly conducted on Tuesday, with only a few items remaining for Wednesday morning. In streamlining the business, it allows more opportunities for valuable seminars and fellowship.

Congratulations to Pastor Mike Rose, Pastor of Juneau Christian Center, and the newest member of the Alaska Ministry Network Presbytery! Pastor Mike was elected in after Pastor Lee Corrao's resignation. We deeply appreciate Pastor Lee's contributions to the Presbytery. Also, congratulations to Pastor JR Markle, who was reelected to represent the Northern Region as Presbyter, and to Fay Niemann, relected as the Central Region Presbyter. We are blessed to have a top notch board of directors who are spiritual and gifted in leadership.

In other business, we reelected Pastor Jack Aiken as Treasurer, reelected Byron Perkins to represent us on the Northwest University Board, and passed a resolution changing the terminology of sections to regions.
