Dave Roever
Dave Roever ministered at MCA today. He has been a blessing to the Alaska Assemblies of God all throughout the state for many, many years. He is currently doing a great work ministering to wounded warriors.
AKSOM Kickoff
AKSOM kicked off the new season yesterday in the Anchorage venue. It was great to see all the students again and also to see some new faces. AKSOM continues to grow and meet the needs of discipleship and education for credentialing. If you have any questions about how AKSOM can benefit you or your church, contact the AKSOM office. Special thanks to Pastor Kent and MCA for hosting the Anchorage venues this year.
Here Lattis is giving the orientation. He also taught Old Testament Survey. He and Sharlotte are back from itineration and excited for another year.
I (Brad) taught the Life of Christ. Here are some students sweating over the test. :) I continue to be amazed at the quality of students who are involved in AKSOM.
Susan Cogan handles the registration and grading text overviews.

Anchorage Samoan Building Update
Pastor Bill and Terry Hull went over to Anchorage Samoan AG yesterday to see how the building expansion is going. Odis and the Samoans have been hard at work this summer, and the building is coming along nicely. They are almost finished with the exterior and will be able to move in before winter.

Our camps this year were near record attendance for which we give God the glory. If you have never participated in a camp ministry, you are missing a great opportunity for God to use you to touch a life. If you have never participated in a “cross-cultural” camp ministry and would like to, please contact me and let’s see if Camp AN is where God may want to use you.
Camp evangelism and discipleship is exciting. I don’t know when the first camps were ever held or just where in the world that would have been, but they are a powerful tool! Camp Agaiutim Nune (Camp AN) is no exception. This year, between Kid’s and Teen Camps, God allowed us to see 39 come to know Christ as their Savior, 6 receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit, 29 receive some type of healing, and four responded to God’s calling for ministry. Tremendous workers came from churches, Bible Colleges, Chi Alpha, Royal Rangers, and the Alaska DYD team. Every year, an outstanding cohesiveness between the various teams develops, all working together as one. Each ministry team was “right on” as they touched lives. God was faithful to grace us with His presence throughout the camps. This year, it was a great privilege to have our District Superintendent, Bill Welch, as Family Camp speaker—lives were blessed and challenged. Also, Camp AN was privileged to have as guest to our camp, US Missions Executive Director, Zollie Smith. Cissy Padgett, as well as many local individuals and church groups ministered preciously in music during Family camp. Family camp concluded on Sunday with two great Sunday services when area churches joined together. Sunday also included a delicious dinner and fellowship shared by all.

Birthday Celebration
We celebrated Pastor Bill and Mark's birthdays yesterday during lunch at the Alaska Ministry Network office. Everyone has been so busy all summer with camps, meetings, and travel, it was great to have almost everyone back in the office. We celebrated Alaska style with deep fried halibut, grilled salmon, smoked salmon dip, salad, bread, and cake. What a blessing to work with such a great team of people at AMN. Happy birthday Pastor Bill and Mark!
