Pastor Austin Encounters an Alaska Connection in Springfield

 

Missionary Pastor Austin Jones was recently in Springfield preaching at Grace AG, and ran across an Alaska connection.  Beverly Clute was 10 years old when Fairbanks First Assembly of God was planted.  She specifically remembers meeting in Pastor's Hershey's home with her family. She later married a gentleman from Alaska and went into the ministry. They pastored several churches in Pennsylvania before retiring in Springfield, MO. Her husband has passed on, and she attends Grace A/G in Springfield, MO with Pastors Owen & David Carr.  Sister Beverly is pictured above with Pastor Austin. 

 

This is Pastor Austin with Pastor Owen Carr.  They had great services with Pastor Austin, seeing many physical healings occuring.   Pastor Austin reports seeing 20 years of fibromyalgia GONE! - - - Knees, backs and necks perfectly WHOLE! - - - Partially deaf ears OPENED.  Praise the Lord!

Soldotna Pastoral Installation

Superintendent Bill and Dori Welch, along with Peninsula Region Presbyter Stephen and JoLynn Brown, were in Soldotna this past Sunday to install Pastor Jon and Teri Watson as Pastors at Peninsula Christian Center.  We welcome the Watsons to Alaska from Texas!  It was a great service, with a potluck to follow.  We look forward to hearing about the blessings of the Lord upon this congregation.

Gustavus Pastoral Installation

Superintendent Bill Welch was recently in Gustavus to install Pastor Dale and Beth Parker as Pastors at Gustavus Chapel. The Parkers had previously been interim Pastors in Sitka and also filled in at Anchorage Native AG. Gustavus Chapel is doing very well, and they love the Parkers. We are looking forward to hearing what God will do in Gustavus.

Gateway 5 Year Celebration

On January 20, Gateway Fellowship in Chugiak/Peter's Creek, celebrated their 5 year anniversary.  Congratulations to Pastor Randy and Gina Jones, along with the church board and congregation.  It was very exciting to celebrate the birth of a church that is still doing very well and reaching their community.

Holy Spirit Conference

The theme of the 2013 Holy Spirit was "Speak to the people all the words of this life."  It was hosted by MCA in partnership with the Alaska Ministry Network and Central Region.  We enjoyed the rich teaching from Dr. Joseph Castleberry, Dr. Byron Klaus, and Pastor John Bueno.

 

We are trusting God for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit over Alaska in 2013.
